The a star was detracted for these three things:-The Shoe is narrow. Pushes up against my pinky toes causing discomfort when sitting, driving, and just standing. Even though I sized up from what I normally wear these seem to squish my foot and or seem for narrow feet. The feeling is different and with the extended toe, going any larger I'd feel like having a clown shoe on with all that extra toe space. I've tried to stretch out the shoe a little bit for relief but it doesn't seem flexible enough. It'll be good for the short term but then everything becomes tight again.-Heel is abrasive. While walking this shoe has torn up the back of my heels. Tried different things. Laced one to two below. Tightened and walked with these loose. They all just seem to tear up my heel. Not sure if it's the stitching near the end of the heel of the shoe and or the material.-No Arch support/very little. The way the shoe is designed it seems the fabric is made to pull the feet up to give that arch support feeling. The ortho sole seems to be lacking too. If the design was to imitate more barefoot shoes then it's met that requirement. But to me it seems like that cushion is lacking and not quite comfortable for walking or extended trips in the shoe along with the rubbing mentioned above.The pluses to this shoe would be that the material does not seem to be skimped out on. Full leather and feels like a solid shoe. The toe cap seems to be pretty robust as after wearing a month there are no marks on the shoe. The sole seems to be grippy even in a light wet environment. These tend to grip on carpet pretty well. The puncture resistance is a cool feature, but with all the issues above it seems that I should have went with a more reputable skater shoe.
